Week 1 at Buffalo Bills
The Cardinals’ first game of the season will be challenging since they will be traveling to play the Bills. In recent years, Buffalo has been a reliable playoff team and has been on the verge of winning the AFC.
Week 2 vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Cardinals will host the Rams for their first home game in week two, which is another playoff club on the schedule. Los Angeles had great expectations for 2024 after having a strong season the year before following a dismal campaign the year before.
Week 3 vs. Detroit Lions
The Cardinals will have challenges over the first three weeks of the season. The Lions, who are predicted to be among the top clubs in the league this season, will be in town in week three. Last season, Detroit advanced all the way to the NFC Championship game, where they led by 17 points at the half. Although they ultimately lost, they have a good chance of returning this year.
Week 5 at San Francisco 49ers
Right back to playing playoff teams in week five as the Cardinals will travel to San Francisco to take on the defending NFC champs.
Week 6 at Green Bay Packers
The Cardinals are not benefiting from the early portions of the schedule. In week six, they’ll travel to play the Packers, who are another playoff team from the previous campaign. After a difficult season opener, Green Bay heated up toward the conclusion of the previous campaign and came within a hair’s breadth of defeating the 49ers on the road during the postseason. This season, they will be competitive and defeat the Cardinals.
The Arizona Cardinals already have a clear idea of their regular season schedule thanks to the NFL schedule announcement earlier this week. Despite the Cardinals’ disappointing campaign in 2017, Arizona supporters are nonetheless eager for the next campaign. Although Arizona has a tough schedule, they should perform better this season. They have a number of challenging opponents on the schedule from outside the division, thus their division should be competitive.
It’s going to be tough straight away, so Cardinals supporters had better hope that their club is prepared to start the season strong. The first six weeks of the forthcoming season will be the most challenging for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will play five teams who qualified for the playoffs the previous season in their first six games. The Cardinals will first travel to play the Buffalo Bills. The Bills won their division with an 11-6 record. They made a respectable postseason run, but they suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
After that, the Los Angeles Rams will come to town to take on the Cardinals. The Rams made it to the playoffs as a wild card team last year, and they lost in the first round.
Next up for Arizona is the Detroit Lions. The Lions had a 17-point lead in the second half of the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, but they fell just short of making the Super Bowl.
In relation to that, the Cardinals’ opponent in Week Five is the 49ers. Between the 49ers and Lions, they play the Washington Commanders, which will provide a pleasant break before returning to the trenches.
The Green Bay Packers, who are anticipated to be among the best teams in the NFC in 2024 following a strong end to the previous season that included a road victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs, will host the Cardinals in week six at Lambeau Field.
This is a daunting way for the Cardinals to start the season. Five of their first six games are going to be incredibly difficult, and this is certainly their hardest stretch on the schedule. Winning just one out of those five games would seem like a big win for them.
