Despite being promoted, Brice Samba left the team for Lens, and Forest has subsequently signed goalie after goalkeeper. In January 2023, Dean Henderson, Wayne Hennessey, and Adnan Kanuric arrived prior to Keylor Navas.
In order to replace loanees Henderson and Navas, Forest then signed two goalkeepers in the summer of last year: Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos. Matz Sels, who will arrive in January, was another stopper that Forest signed after neither of them was impressed.
Although Sels has performed admirably thus far, Forest may still require a backup goalie in light of the likely availability of Turner and Vlachodimos.
Juan Musso has expressed interest in Nottingham Forest. There are still more goalkeepers connected to Forest for the summer. Nuno Espirito Santo reportedly wants to bring Caoimhin Kelleher, the goalkeeper for Liverpool, to the City Ground this summer.
Alvaro Valles, the stopper for Las Palmas, has also been connected to Forest, and another name is being mentioned. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juan Musso, the goalkeeper for Atalanta, was offered the chance to maybe join Forest.
Galatasaray also appeared to be interested in signing Sels, rather than Musso, before Atalanta requested €10 million (£8.6 million). Sels was acquired by Forest for about £3.5 million less after he was acquired from Strasbourg for a pittance.
It’s now added that Musso has decided that he wants to leave and become a starting goalkeeper elsewhere.

Musso has continued to shine in the Europa League, helping Atalanta set up a huge final clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
Forest will seemingly have another chance to sign Musso this summer as he seeks to leave, but whether he would start over Sels is another matter.
Who is Forest target Musso?
Musso came through the ranks with Racing Club in his native Argentina.
After demonstrating his potential there, the 6′ 3″ goalkeeper moved to Europe in 2018 to join Serie A team Udinese.
After making over 100 games as their first-choice stopper, Musso was signed by Atalanta in 2021. After nearly 100 appearances, the 30-year-old is ready for a fresh challenge as he approaches his third year in Bergamo.
In the process, Musso won two caps for Argentina; however, he hasn’t received one since 2021. Musso may want to play regularly somewhere else in order to gain more experience on the international scene.
Forest might still be interested, but Sels has undoubtedly done enough to be the first choice to start the following season, and Musso might not like that.
