John Lundstram pointed towards an unidentified party after scoring an own goal against Celtic during the weekend, and Rangers supporters believe they’ve unraveled the mystery. Lundstram, the Ibrox midfielder, had a challenging game against their rivals, scoring an own goal and later receiving a red card for a reckless challenge on Alistair Johnston. The match ended 2-1 in favor of Celtic, who secured a six-point lead at the top of the table with only two games remaining.
Lundstram’s frustration was evident after his mistake, and it was clear that he believed someone else was partly responsible for the game-changing moment, as he gestured towards an unseen individual captured by Sky Sports cameras.
Now, Rangers fans are speculating that referee Willie Collum was the one Lundstram pointed at, alleging that Collum obstructed Lundstram’s attempt to rush back and defend against Celtic’s attack.
One fan shared on social media: “When Hatate took off, Lundstram got caught on his heels. When trying to get back to Hatate, he had to navigate around Collum. Surprisingly, Collum had also sprinted past him to keep up with play. If I were him, I’d keep that on the down-low.”
